Maggie Costikyan
Head Coach

Maggie is returning for her 4th year as an Instructor for Team Pequot, and we are excited to have her lead our coaching team as Head Instructor this summer.  She is a junior at Fordham University and is double majoring in Psychology and Sociology.  Maggie grew up sailing at Noroton Yacht Club.  Her favorite sailing memory was when she competed in the Match Racing Nationals for the first time in her college sailing team’s history and made it to the finals!  Did you know that Maggie is captain of the Fordham Sailing Team?

Ben Craine

Ben is returning for his 3rd year as an Instructor for Team Pequot.  He is a freshman at Colorado College and still deciding upon his major.  Ben grew up sailing at Cedar Point Yacht Club.  His favorite sailing memory was when he sailed in his first Beach Point Overnight race in the Big Boat Program when he was 14.  Ben had never sailed in a distance race before, and he had a lot of fun learning how to sail as a team during the middle of the night.  Did you know that Ben and his dad were the first “father-son duo” to win the JSA Laser Championships?

Niall Sheridan

Niall is returning for his 3rd year as an Instructor for Team Pequot.  He is a sophomore at Tufts University and is majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Astrophysics.  Niall grew up sailing at Norwalk Yacht Club.  His favorite sailing memory was when he sailed in the Junior Big Boat Overnight race.  Most of the crew had been asleep for almost an hour and the online conversation was between he and the main trimmer.  Taking advantage of the few quiet moments, he asked the main trimmer to hold the course for a minute, so he could sit down, look at the stars and the city lights on the horizon.  Did you know that Niall sails Larks while at Tufts?  His school is one of only two schools that sail this type of boat!

Brian Krawiec

Brian is returning for his 3rd year as an Instructor for Team Pequot.  He is a sophomore at Miami University of Ohio and is majoring in Finance.  Brian grew up sailing at Cedar Point Yacht Club.  His favorite sailing memory was when he had to search the bottom of Larchmont harbor for Ben’s rudder!  Did you know that Brain is in a business fraternity (Delta Sigma Pi) at school?

Ellie Pieper

Ellie is returning for her 3rd year as an Instructor for Team Pequot.  She is a sophomore at Connecticut College and is majoring in Biology with minors in both Music and Italian Studies.  Ellie grew up sailing at Cedar Point Yacht Club.  Her favorite sailing memory was when she sailed in the Vineyard Race a few years ago.  It was an amazing and fun adventure that she was able to share with two of her friends from the CPYC junior program.  Did you know that Ellie is in an a cappella group in college?

David Adipeitro

David is currently a sophomore majoring in Engineering-Physics at Fordham University in New York City. He grew up sailing Lasers and 420s at Cedar Point Yacht Club. One of his favorite sailing memories was sailing in Thistle nationals with a team of 2 other 17-year-olds, and getting first place in U18 sailing the club's community Thistle. A fun fact about David is that his brother, Mark Adipietro, is going to be sailing 420s this year here at Pequot Yacht Club!

Ally Triano

Ally is joining Team Pequot for her first year as an Instructor.  She is a freshman at Bucknell University and majoring in Biology while on the Pre-Med track.  Ally grew up sailing at Noroton Yacht Club.  One of her favorite sailing memories was racing in the Shelter Island regatta during her final year of JSA.  Did you know that Ally is a coxswain for Bucknell’s Women’s Rowing team?

Hannah Nightingale

Hannah is joining Team Pequot for her first year as an Instructor.  She is still deciding which college to attend in the fall and plans to major in either Government or International Relations.  Hannah grew up sailing at Norwalk Yacht Club, Roton Point and Noroton Yacht Club.  Her favorite sailing memory was sailing optimists in Mar Del Plata, Argentina.  She was able to meet sailors from all across the world, while sailing on huge swells in the open ocean, and practicing her Spanish skills!  Did you know that Hannah is a vegetarian?
