You do not need to be a member of Pequot Yacht Club to sail with TeamPequot, nor do you need to own your own boat. Here's how the program works:
Registration is open and runs through the beginning of the second session of the program (July 20).
Click the REGISTER button on any screen or in the menu drop-down in when on a mobile device.
Registration fees are non-refundable*. During the registration flow, you must execute the Waiver; you will be redirected to the JSA-LIS site to create an account with JSA and to electronically sign the Waiver, which covers both Pequot and JSA participation.
You do not have to be a member to enroll, but you will need a club sponsor. If you don't have a club sponsor, please indicate so when prompted during the registration process. Participation by non-members is not guaranteed, but every effort is made to accomodate any child who has an interest in the program
A non-member grandchild may be automatically sponsored by a member grandparent.
Registration is first-come, first served. A wait list will be established when class size caps are met.
In addition to the registration fee, you will be charged a Program Fee according to the table below. You will be billed in May or June. The Program Fee must be paid in full prior to partipating in the program.
A limited number of Optimists, Fevas and 420s are availaible for charter to members and non-members (same fee applies regardless of membership status). A charter agreement must be signed by the particpant and the particpant parent. Two-person boats (Feva and 420) must sign two charter agreements. Boat charter fees are per person, not per boat.
Instruction, facility use, program costs, boat storage fee, entry fees at Pequot and JSA regattas, JSA/US Sailing membership dues, program t-shirt, commissioning party, and the end-of-season award banquet (for the participant; family members at additional cost).
TeamPequot sailors may purchase lunch from Galley; items purchased are billed to parents monthly.
Private lessons, off-Sound regattas entry fees and additional coaching, non-PYC clinics, and state/dues taxes are not included in the program fee, and are billed to parents monthly.
Big boat program fees and equipment deposit will be announced at the start of the season depending on indications of interest.
No Program Fee refunds after June 1.
In order for a sailor to start Program, all fees must be paid in full prior to the first day of the Program.
